Destruction & Renewal Solo Exhibition '

A couple weeks ago I had my first solo exhibition featuring abstract paintings inspired by the 2019/2020 Australian bushfire season at La Creme Creative Inc where I have been renting studio space for six months. When I started working from the space I considered the idea of a solo show and thought it would be a good opportunity to finally get my shit together and do something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now! When the horrific bushfire season began I was inspired to explore the many emotions felt through the medium of abstract painting and from there, the paintings all came together pretty fluidly. However I was still rather terrified of putting myself out there for the actual event but was also excited about the idea of facing this fear and pulling off the event! Many thanks to my brother, Local Creature, who helped me with the set up and for providing amazing live music and to all of the members of the la Creme family for the support. Also big thanks to everyone who came to support and to those who purchased paintings of which 25% will be donated to Greening Australia.
